Job Overview: Manages the purchasing operation of the outpatient clinics. Communicates with outpatient departments regarding special orders and items. Maintains database of both stock and non-stock items to assure accuracy and ease in ordering. Responsible for changes in software and hardware for the supply automation program. Responsible for all receiving at the hospital location. During peak season will be responsible for assisting the driver with daily duties. Responsible for all testing, implementation, and upgrades associated to the Materials Management software. Training of the hospital staff on all Materials Management related programs and processes. Primary Scope of Responsibilities: * Manages purchasing operations to assure adequate inventory * Works with outpatient departments regarding special orders and items * Maintains database of stock and non-stock items for accuracy * Maintains supply automation records * Demonstrates purposeful service excellence through exceeding patient and coworker expectations * Records pertinent documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements, professional standards and hospital policy * Takes weekly visual and computer inventory of the office site clinics * Places accurate orders to approved vendors keeping inventory at appropriate levels on a weekly basis * Takes special orders from outpatient departments for both stock and non-stock items, ordering where appropriate and refers items to administration and/or product evaluation committee when appropriate * Insures timely receipt of special-order items * Finds items or equipment for customers as needed, using correct reference materials * Maintain records pertaining to returns of items to vendors, including returns authorizations, shipping, documentation, and credit memorandum * Works with director on installation and upgrades associated to supply automation program * Completes daily receiving at the hospital * Trains the hospital staff on all Materials Management processes and programs * Assists delivery drivers with deliveries during peak times Minimum Qualifications & Requirements: * Current Colorado Driver's license with a relatively clean driving record is required * Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in purchasing and/or materials management is required * Previous healthcare experience is preferred * Strong customer service skills are required * Relatively proficient in Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Word & Outlook, is required Benefits & Compensation: Our hire-in rates of pay are based on years of relevant experience. Listed below are our hire-in rates for the position, which includes: minimum pay (no relevant experience) and mid-point (12 or more years).
