About Ace Hardware Retailer
Lumber & Building Materials Sales Associate will be taking and
placing special orders. The qualified applicant will be
self-motivated and able to operate sales ethically, honestly and
with integrity. Excellent phone and verbal communication skills
will be crucial to the success of the Lumber & Building Materials
Sales Associate position, as well as attention to detail and
efficient time management. The qualified applicant will able to
handle and be responsible for money.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provide a positive representation of Choice Building Supply.
Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers
when finished and when they are leaving
Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor, work well with customers as
well as associates.
Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and

Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies
regarding payment and exchanges, and security
Be aware of security risks and know how to prevent or handle these
Prepare sales slips and sales contracts
Maintain records relating to sales
Place special orders or call vendors to find desired items
Compute sales prices, total purchases and receive and process cash
or credit payment.
Be aware of store inventory - maintain accurate records of sales,
new stock and internal requisitions
