This position is responsible for ensuring customers of imaging
services are greeted and assisted in a timely manner and is
responsible for providing support services for all of the various
imaging modalities. The incumbent will perform a variety of
clerical duties including: helping manage patient flow through the
department, answering telephones, exam order entry, image check
out, calling of reports, assisting radiologists/ technologists and
ensuring medical necessity.

Shift Details: Full-time (36 hours), Friday 7:30am-6pm,
Saturday/Sunday 8:30am-6pm, Monday 7:30am-6pm

As a Digital Imaging Specialist at Intermountain Health, you will
play a vital role in supporting our imaging team, ensuring our
patients receive the best care by:
Verify identities of patients to ensure accuracy of records
transferred to/from outside facilities.
Verify and track orders, including but not limited to; matching up
images with orders, placing images in proper order, report
disbursement, and preparation of call reports.
Assist patients as necessary.
Maintain knowledge of anatomy and exam types.
Maintain knowledge of HIPAA regulations and apply this knowledge
appropriately.
Demonstrate professionalism in interactions with nursing, staff,
and other patient care members and coworkers.
Assist coworkers in completing their duties to promote effective
teamwork.
Take the initiative to solve problems including, but not limited
to, equipment, maintenance, and staffing issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated work experience in a comparable setting, required
Demonstrated customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare experience preferred

Physical Requirements
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels,
assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and
supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and
visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as
hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues
quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency
situations.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and
delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes
frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care,
accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer
patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and
equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and
including heavy items.
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and
obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes
pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy
items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of
equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended
period of time.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly
rate dependent upon experience.
$16.83 - $21.88
