Come join our awesome team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
on the Colorado Float Team. The Colorado Float Team is -part of
Volunteers of America National Services which serves as the Housing
and Healthcare affiliate of the Volunteers of America parent
organization. PRN LPN Job Highlights:
- NEW WAGES! $30.00-$33.00/hour -- depending on experience;

successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential
duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are

- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current
licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Colorado with at least
one year of experience.
- Current CPR
- Must posses the ability to effectively gather clinical data in
regards to resident status and condition.
- Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for
tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.
- Must be willing to work in facilities following infection
control precautions and regular testing for COVID-19; the
vaccination is required due to state healthcare regulations and
company policy.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Ability to travel and work to multiple facilities in the
Montrose and Delta area. Preferred Skills:
- Effective communicator with staff, families and outside
agencies.
- Ability to prioritize duties.
- Customer service oriented with knowledge of successful customer
service techniques.
- Ability to understand residents' charts, doctor's orders,
residents' plan of care, medication orders. Essentials: -
- Assign personnel appropriately to meet resident needs.
- Ensure that unit personnel and volunteers on your shift are
carrying out their assignments.
- Maintains competence in all required skills within the
facility.
- Treats and ensures that residents are treated with respect and
dignity.
- Observes, records, and reports to supervisor regarding
residents' conditions, reaction to drugs and treatments and
significant events.
- Participates in resident care planning as assigned by the
Director of Nursing.
- Immediately reports any suspected abuse or neglect per facility
policy
- Perform nursing techniques for the comfort and well being of
the resident.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments per
MD/Providers orders.
- Follows all shift routines, policy and procedures regarding
monitoring of vital signs, weights, administration of medications
and treatments.
- May administer professional services, such as catheterization,
tube feedings, suctioning, applying/changing bandages, packs,
colostomies and drainage bags. Provide range of motion exercises,
end of life care/expired resident per scope of practice.
- Makes physician/providers calls to report resident change in
condition and documents same.
- Maintains all required documentation in an accurate and timely
manner according to policies and procedures of the facility,
including documentation of medications, treatments, restraints,
psychotropic medications and skin condition.
- Contribute toward completing and updating resident's care
plans, as directed by RN.
- Perform routine charting duties as required and in accordance
with established charting and documentation policies and
procedures.
- Accurately transcribes physician's orders as per facility
protocol and forwards necessary information to other departments.

Services Colorado Float Team -is a team of experienced
professionals that assist in the facilities that we serve, such as
the Senior Community Care Program for All-Inclusive Care for the
Elderly (PACE), Horizons Health Care Center, Valley Manor Care
Center, the Homestead at Montrose, and Home Health of Western
Colorado. As a PRN employee, you will enjoy ultimate flexibility
and work as little as 4 shifts per month or full-time hours, it is
YOUR choice. -One (1) year of experience is required - you must be
willing to work at any VOA facility that has a need. -Love to
travel? - Interim assignments to facilities in other states may be
available! - -To travel, you must have a multi-state nursing
license and/or the ability to obtain a state license in the state
