Spend your days living the Steamboat Dream by helping manage the daily operations of SnowSports School instructors and grow your management skills. Preferred applicants have supervisory experience and a passion for developing people. Preferred -applications will possess PSIA/AASI Certifications and -accreditations -with a technical knowledge of skiing and snowboarding.

Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:
Responsible for managing the daily operation, scheduling, daily assignment and evaluation/coaching/disciplinary actions of SnowSports School Instructors

Responsible for monitoring and leading both on and off snow clinics

Responsible for solving any customer concerns or complaints

Must interact well with the public, management, and all company employees

Assists the SnowSports School Training Manager and responsible for administration of in-house training programs and training staff

Manage the close relationship between Ticket Office and instructors

Assist in clinic division and organization at all line ups

Review incidents reports and assist safety coordinator

Administrate daily and weekly supervisor meetings and prepare preliminary on-snow operational budgets

Manage Steamboat Mountain Watch team

Ensure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements

Problem-solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates and co-workers

Be a consistent role model for company's Service Excellence Standards

Minimum skills, experience, education and ability required for this job:
Bachelors or better preferred, will accommodate for experience

Two years' supervisory experience required

PSIA/AASI Cert III+ preferred, Kids Accred preferred

Must have excellent communication skills, guest relations skills and attention to detail

Must have technical knowledge of skiing and snowboarding

Ability to adhere to all safety policies

Computer competency required

Physical Requirements:
Must ski or snowboard on varying terrain and in harsh weather conditions all day if needed

Must assist guests/students who have fallen

Employment for this job is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check

Position is required to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

The base salary pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation salary pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Steamboat area base salary pay range: $52,000 - $60,000 per year
