Corps/Department: Grand Junction Stores--Montrose Thrift
Reports to: STORE MANAGER AND/OR ASSISTANT MANAGER, DIRECTOR of
RETAIL AND/OR CORPS OFFICER(S)
FLSA Status: HOURLY/PART-TIME (28 hours/week)
This is a part time (28 hours per week), non-exempt, regular
position that pays $12.32 per hour with vacation and sick time.
Scope of Position/Essential Functions:
+ Will assist in creating a pleasant and hospitable work
environment, and maintaining good relationships with customers and
+ Will assist with all store operations, to include operating
the cash register/POS system.

and any unsafe equipment or conditions to management.
+ Will be well-versed in, and comply with, thrift store &
donation center operations.
+ Will perform other duties as assigned by Store Manager,
Assistant Store Manager, Director of Retail and/or Corps
Education and Work Experience: Education and/or work experience
commensurate with the duties and responsibilities required. Must be
committed to the goals and objectives of The Salvation Army. Must
be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or
+ Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Fluent in the
English language, written and Bilingual in Spanish, helpful.
+ Possess good customer service skills.
+ Able to comprehend and follow directions.
+ Physically able to stand on feet for long periods.
+ Able to lift 25 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasionally.
Software-related skills: Prefer Microsoft Word and Excel
experience, Outlook, and a working knowledge of integrated database
applications with the ability to use new software programs with

climb, kneel and twist on intermittent or continuous basis. Ability
