We're seeking a passionate, people-centric leader to manage the outbound of activities of our newly expanded 900,000 sq ft. facilityto ensure we deliver the right products, on time, to our valued customers. Located at our Americas Headquarters in Olathe, KS, with a schedule of 8a to 5p, you'll be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all product orders to our customers through effective leadership and management of outbound staff and processes. Other essential functions include: Key Responsibilities Manage, lead, mentor, select, train, and evaluate Outbound operations managers and supervisors, including Ensure effective management of staff overtime and appropriate staffing levels for meeting productivity expectationsAssist team members in accomplishing their essential functionsMentor and develop operations managers and supervisors for future roles within Logistics and other areas of the businessPartner with Human Resources team to ensure talent acquisition, talent development and talent management of staffPartners with operations and other departmental leaders to resolve distribution discrepancies and issuesEnsures safety and cleanliness in all areas of the distribution centerCollaborate with department heads and managers across the business to ensure alignment and achievement of customer delivery objectives Closely monitor all aspects of Outbound operations to insure the highest levels of customer service and support including; Ensures that product is picked, checked and shipped according to established standards and in accordance with current proceduresEnsures team members have the appropriate equipment and tools necessary to perform their jobsEnsures the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipmentCollaborate with the supervisory team and Safety Manager to ensure appropriate training/certification of team members operating material handling equipmentParticipate in meetings with staff to discuss results of data analysis and corrective actions to be implemented. Partner with Director Logistics and Operations management to ensure effective flow of product through the DC Develop and monitor reports and KPI's to ensure logistics objectives are met and identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement Partner with the Safety Manager to understand root cause of accidents and workers comp claims and ensure training is delivered to staff to improve productivity and reduce accidents Exemplify TVH's Mission, Vision, and Values and proactively works to improve TVH's image and culture Preferred Qualifications We're seeking qualified candidates with a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Engineering or another applicable field OR a minimum of four years' work experience performing a substantially similar role plus a minimum of five years work experience in logistics/distribution performing a substantially similar role. Other essential functions include: Must possess a minimum of 3 years work experience in supervising, selecting, coaching, mentoring and training staff Demonstrate proficiency in process documentation, both "As-Is' and "To Be' Demonstrates a high level of customer service with a focus on responding to requests and tasks in a quick, friendly and efficient manner Demonstrates dependability, initiative and motivation with a proven ability to perform tasks independently, accurately and efficiently Demonstrates intermediate proficiency in the use of Google Mail and Calendar, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Demonstrate proficiency in flow charting process and work instruction documentation Demonstrates effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, divisions and locations Demonstrates proficient organizational, time management and follow up skills Must be team oriented and demonstrate a positive attitude Demonstrates professionalism, discretion and proven experience and ability to maintain confidentiality Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a plus!
