POSITION TITLE: Customer Service Representative IDEPARTMENT: Community RelationsREPORTS TO: Administrative Director of Community RelationsBENEFITS - PRN positions do not include Paid Time Off (PTO) or Extended Illness Benefit (EIB), or any other standard benefits offered by GRHD. BASE SALARY- Starting hourly pay range is $$ to $$, dependent on relevant experience and qualifications. This PRN position includes a PRN differential of 10% in addition to the starting hourly base rate of pay. This position is not bonus eligible. JOB PURPOSE: To improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Administrative Director of Community Relations, completes customer service activities. These may include but are not limited to signing in visitors, directing and escorting patients to available registrars and appropriate areas, providing information and materials as appropriate, greeting all individuals to ensure positive first impressions upon entering facilities, assisting in developing additional services to enhance visitors' experiences, and may oversee volunteers assigned to customer service area. Clerical duties include but are not limited answering calls and operating a multi-line phone system, generating and answering professional correspondence in a variety of formats and processing departmental mail. Customer Service Representatives complete assigned projects during moments of downtime between interactions. Other job related duties might be assigned or removed from this position as dictated by operational needs. Works under general supervision. Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Prefer at least 1 year of related professional experience. Professional experience in a healthcare setting in a similar role preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the realm of customer service. Familiarity with organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding customer interactions. Knowledge of practices, tools, and techniques for communicating with a customer. Knowledge of and ability to apply the processes, activities and tools associated with managing customer requests. Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing to a wide variety of people; ability to learn and retain significant amounts of information, proven ability to maintain good working relationships with a variety of people and groups, working knowledge of a computer and software applications for word processing and other tasks. Ability to react calmly and professionally when faced with challenging, emergent or sensitive situations and/or encounters. Ability to effectively multitask. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all patient-related information. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, patients, outside vendors and community members. Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions. Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing. WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Other conditions may exist which are common in a medical clinic and office environment.
