Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty:
Operating Room Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift:
32 Experience: One year operating room experience required.
License: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or
from a valid compact state required. Certifications: Basic Life
Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
required. Must-Have: Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90
days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning
requirements for job-specific competencies. Description: This
position assumes responsibility and accountability for providing
nursing care for patients and their families. Compassionate,
individualized nursing care for patients and families is expected.
Collaboration with providers, staff, and other team members is
required to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Oversee daily patient
flow to optimize patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
Demonstrate the ability to triage incoming patient requests for
services. Deliver patient education to facilitate a plan of care
and promote optimal wellness. Demonstrate appropriate delegation of
care according to state statutes. Exhibit competent healthcare
assessment, prioritizing, and critical thinking skills. Handle a
high volume of patient requests for medications, information, and
assistance. Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist
in procedures as needed, while adhering to patient safety
guidelines. Coordinate patient care with providers and others as
needed to achieve high-quality patient care and satisfaction. Work
independently with minimal supervision. Deliver excellent service
by advocating for safety, patient preferences, and optimal
communication through partnerships with patients and families.
