Description 1 years of stepdown/progressive care, ICU, procedural, or emergency department experience strongly preferred. In addition to base pay and night shift differential, full time night shift RNs are eligible to participate in UCHealth's night shift incentive pay program upon completion of orientation. Base pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. Work nights, earn more - our Night Shift Incentive Program pays $1,600 quarterly ($6,400/year) Summary: 16 bed unit comprised of both cardiac procedural step down and med surge level of care patients. Focusing primarily on post procedure patients staying overnight form cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, bronchoscopy and GI. Additionally, we recover cardiac post procedure patients from sedation and anesthesia as well as admit patients for initiation of anti-dysrhythmia medication. Location: UCHealth UCHlth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion, US:CO:Aurora Department: Cardiac and Proc Short Stay FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Nights Pay: $37.06 - $57.44 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: Provides direct patient care at a proficient level, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Monitors the patient to maintain a safe environment, optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Responsibilities: Performs and documents pre/post procedure assessment/evaluation/education of patient. Responds to life threatening situations utilizing nursing standards and protocols for treatment. Handles critical and highly stressful situations, reacting decisively with efficiency and composure. Provides nursing care in a technically complex environment. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements: - Registered Nurse - Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience. State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). 6 months RN experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program. - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
