Care for a travel nursing job in Cortez, Colorado.Job Description &
Requirements
care to patients in an efficient, safe, and courteous manner using
appropriate
nursing procedures. The Same Day Care (SDC), Operating Room (OR)
Circulator,
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nurse must be able to demonstrate
the
knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the
age of the
patients served in surgical services. The individual must
demonstrate knowledge
of the principles of growth and development over the life span and
possess the
ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and
interpret the
appropriate information needed to identify each patient's
requirements, and to
provide the care needed as described in the department's policies
and
procedures. The nurse must be clinically competent to care for
patients,
knowledgeable about surgical processes and can identify
complications.
Evaluates, plans and implements nursing care for the surgical
patient
population. The SDC/OR/PACU RN works directly with the surgeon and
must be able
to assist the physician during operating procedures. Functions in a
same day
care, circulating and PACU nurse role, and may also function as a
scrub nurse
and/or first assist. He or she must have the ability to utilize
information
technologies to meet patient needs and provide evidence-based
knowledge at the
point of care to improve health outcomes.

shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with
