Job Description Job SummarySavATree has partnered with Aspen Tree Service to bring on landscape technicians to apply knowledge of plants, trees, and grasses in growing, pruning, and fertilizing shrubs, lawns, bushes, trees, and flowers. They also use knowledge of aesthetics to creatively design gardens, walkways, sitting areas, bridges, and other functional aspects of outdoor areas. Duties can include making sure plants grow well in their assigned area as well as cleaning up debris around yards and other areas.Job Description Looking for a place where you can thrive and grow? REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSMust possess a valid Colorado driver's licenseMust pass company driving testMust be able to operate machinery safelyA good working knowledge of mechanics is preferred ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for assisting in the coordination and execution of tree plantings and tree relocationsResponsible for maintaining trees and shrubs on-site throughout the planting processResponsible for maintaining equipment including , mini-skids, excavators, and skid steersDaily planning to ensure optimum job efficiency and effectivenessUse and operate tools, equipment, and vehicles used in the planting and delivery processAssist in the set up and maintenance of all nursery facilities.Inspect, safely load, handle, and transport nursery stockSupport the Landscape Foreman in providing the highest quality end product to our clientsAssist in facilities maintenance when necessaryMust be able to operate landscape maintenance equipment safely and efficientlyAssist in filling orders for customers and company operationsMaintain landscape and delivery vehicles in clean and organized working orderPerform other manual duties to maintain a safe and clean working environmentComplete and manage daily paperwork including vehicle inspection reports and work ordersMust be punctual, responsible, and dependableComply with all company policies and regulationsCommunicate with customers and co-workers in a polite and courteous mannerMust possess a willingness to learn and exhibit adaptabilityAbility to lift and move heavy materials and be willing to work long hours on occasion when needed.Basic measurement and calculation skillsExcellent observation skills and a strong attention to detailGood analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a teamAssist in the production, bagging and palletizing of mulch productsAssist with Yard Maintenance including mowing of grounds and light landscaping EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCEHorticulture/Arboriculture Trade Certification a bonusMinimum 2 years of experience in landscape related fieldMust be able to operate equipment safely PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
