Job Description To assist in the performance of duties necessary
to keep the physical structure and associated equipment to the
health system in good repair. Minor electrical work, mechanical
repairs, and other duties relating to maintenance are primary
duties. Has the ability to work on their own and inspect the
facilities and equipment. Preventative maintenance duties to all
physical structures of the organization and complies with all
building safety codes. Maintains routine records of all inspections
and preventative maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment
or systems. May supervise one or two lesser skilled mechanics or
helpers. Wage will be based on experience and qualifications. Will
be eligible for increase to next technician level after 1040 hours
(6 months) of employment. Regulatory Requirements: High School
Diploma or equivalent preferred. Current BLS certification.
Preferred Journeyman level experience in: electrical, plumbing,
carpentry, HVAC, security, Hazmat. 2 years experience in
commercial/hospital maintenance preferred. Minimum of 21 years of
age to be insured to operate SHS vehicles. Language Skills: Able to
communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Additional languages preferred. Excellent customer service skills.
Skills: Basic computer knowledge. Strong communication skills. All

Work Screen. This physical exam will determine the capability of
the applicant to perform the essential functions. If you are
selected for this position, prior to appointment, you may be
subject to a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use. THIS
POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN FOR A MINIMUM OF 5 DAYS. AFTER THAT DATE,
